Flemingsburg, Ky. – Peoples Bank of Kentucky, Inc. is excited to welcome Doug Lawson as the new President and CEO

Lawson brings an extensive portfolio and more than two decades of leadership experience across banking, business, and trust services to Peoples Bank of Kentucky. Since 1993, he has served in multiple banking career roles, including the President of Field & Main Bank, Senior Vice President for Ag and Commercial Lending at Planter’s Bank, and the Market President at Heritage Bank. He was the co founder of Kingdom Trust Company, a non depository trust company headquartered in Murray, Kentucky and established in 2009, giving him a strong foundation in the trust and wealth management sector. Lawson has also served on the board of the Kentucky Agricultural Finance Corporation, contributing to statewide economic development through this long standing financial resource. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to understanding customer needs and delivering the dependable service and guidance communities expect from a relationship driven financial institution.

Lawson’s longstanding roots in agriculture uniquely position him to serve the region Peoples Bank of Kentucky supports. His deep connections to the industry and the relationships he has cultivated over many years provide him with a meaningful understanding of the communities that rely on it.
